The Wayward Blogger Returns...

Holy crap...it's been a long tome since I've posted a blog! Did you miss me?? I wish I could tell you that my absence was due to world traveling or something equally as exciting, but nope, that's not the case. I blame Twitter for my neglect of my beloved blog. After all, Twitter is a "micro blogging site". And you know me...I'm all about things that require a short attention span...oh, look! Is that a puppy?? I kid, I kid.
Anyhoo...I have been a little busy. Oh, I do have exciting news! I am buying my first home! If my closing ever actually happens, that is. My initial closing date was supposed to be February 18th. HaHa. It is now tentatively scheduled for March 23rd. We'll see. I can't wait because I am practically living out of boxes. Not fun. Sooo....my new place is a carriage home. It's all on one level upstairs, but my front door and attached garage are downstairs. It has 3 bedrooms, a den and 2 1/2 baths. And the best part? Wood floors throughout! No carpet...cue the Happy Dance! And now...I wait. It's kind of scary, exciting, bittersweet and a million other emotions that I can't even put into words.

Let's see...what else. Oh, I know. Let's talk Hollyweird. Corey Haim died. WTF? He was only 38. It's sad, but not shocking. He always seemed kind of tortured. Haylie Duff and Carrie Underwood are engaged. Not to each other. Now that would be newsworthy! Marie Osmond's 18 year old son committed suicide. Have you guys seen what Heidi Montag (who will now and forever more be known as "Franken-Heidi") did to herself? She looks 10 years older than she is. Yikes. She frightens me. We haven't even discussed TIGER, or should I say CHEETAH, WOODS yet! OMG! How crazy is that whole story?!? And the craziest part to me is that his wife is BEAUTIFUL and he was cheating on her with total trashbags. Ewww! Epic fail, Tiger! Speaking of trashbags, did y'all watch "Jersey Shore"?? Loves it! Must see TV...right up there with "Real Housewives". Speaking of reality TV....did you guys think the Bachelor was crazy when he picked Vienna?? I did. I think I threw up in my mouth when it aired. Yuck! Ok...well that's all I've got for right now.

R.I.P. Brittany Murphy

From TMZ.com: Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.
She was 32.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her time of death was listed as 10:04 AM.
Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word." Murphy was reportedly fired from last film, "The Caller," after reports she was problematic on set.
UPDATE 3:11 PM ET -- Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy's mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We're told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- several miles away -- and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
We're told the LA County Coroner's is picking up Murphy's body from Cedars later today and will launch a death investigation.

Ok. Before I start, let me say that I really liked her. I love, love, love "Clueless" and "Uptown Girls". And I thought she was adorable. But, I also think that she had either an eating disorder or a drug problem. Let's face it. Healthy 32 year olds don't just drop dead from cardiac arrest. And, Lindsay Lohan...I hope you are paying attention, because it could've been you.

So...I've been busy. For reals. And sore. And tired. Ugh! A quick rundown of my activities: I do yoga with Lissy...like it, even though I pulled a muscle in my abs last week.
Tennis with Lissy, too. Loves it! Totally cute clothes...of course I love it! Golf is with Jacob. Golf is super frustrating and I hit the ball...oh, about 40% of the time. I told the pro that if the object of the game was moving grass around I'd be a Superstar! I go to the Y to meet my trainer twice a week...he's a GREAT trainer, and I am NOT an easy client. We box sometimes and I am really feeling that. Who me? Angry? Noooo....LOL!

You may not have heard (if you live under a rock), but Michael Jackson died.


Say what you want about his freakish ways, but the man was a musical genius! I have been playing the AOL Radio All Michael Jackson station (Sorry, Alissa!) and he had so many great songs. Did you guys watch the Memorial Service? I was ok until his daughter spoke. Then it was "Cue the waterworks". So sad.Perhaps you can find an article or two on him and his death in the mags this week? Ok. Now, let's talk about Steve McNair's death.
Poor Steve. He's getting NO LOVE from the media because of all of the MJ hype. But the circumstances of his death are totally bizarre-o! Everyone is trying to figure out what killed MJ. "Good morning. It was drugs. Case closed." But I am trying to figure out the Steve McNair drams. According to reports, he was killed in a murder-suicide by his 20 year old side bitch. Yikes! She shot him 4 (count them...1, 2, 3, 4) times while he slept on the couch. Was that necessary??

So I am watching the yumminess that is Lebron James, um I mean Game 4 of the Eastern Finals. The Cavs came to win tonight...it's about time. For a team that has swept every series leading up to this one, I'm not that impressed. But, what the hell? More chances to see King James! I'm with it. For all of you that haven't watched the NBA since back in the day (It was a Wednesday...and MJ was playing)...Newsflash! The NBA is exciting again! And...23 is back. In the form of Lebron. He's the bomb like tick, tick....Ok, let me stop drooling and move onto current events. By that I mean gossip...LOL.
On a sad note, Mike Tyson's 4 year old daughter died today as a result of "accidentally hanging herself on a treadmill". Um, why was a 4 year old left un-attended near a treadmill? I'm just saying...
On a hypocritical note, devout Catholic Mel Gibson's girlfriend is pregnant. Is the ink even dry on that mofo's divorce papers?? Fornicators, Party of Two...your table is ready. In hell. Guess this falls under "Do as I say, not as I do", huh?
On a f**ked up note, have you seen all the drams surrounding Jon & Kate Plus Eight?!? Who has time to have extra marital affairs with eight kids?? Hey, guys...maybe more parenting, less f**king. Kthanxbye.

Reunited And It Feels So...GROSS!?!

Let me guess...he only hit her because he loves her so much and she provoked the whole thing because she made him so angry. Please hold...I think I just threw up a bit in my mouth. Rihanna, have you heard the old saying "Hit me once, shame on you. Hit me twice, shame on me!" I don't think there will be the same outpouring of sympathy if she takes him back and he hits her again. Don't do it, Girl :(

After the Tao at the Groomer debacle, Ryan and I had the bright idea (Why do bad scenarios always start with a bright idea?!?) to start grooming the dogs ourselves. With clippers. Yes, I will pause so that you can shake your head and say "WTF?". Well, we started with poor little Tai Tai...the older, grouchier one. I know, I know. The whole notion was ill-conceived and just plain bad. We had a leash on him and the stupid cone shaped collar from Tao's recent stint as a patient so that he wouldn't bite us. It was like a comedy routine. And...he is now officially

Um...oops. I said to Ryan "Well the upside of this is that Tao is now back to being the prettier one." Much like March, he came in looking like a lion and left looking like a lamb. That got into a fight with a razor. And the razor won. Yikes! And he was pissed at us. Rightfully so.

Is anyone else so over the OctoMom?!? OMG...this b***h needs to go somewhere already! As if our economy was not sh***y enough, we need to foot the bill for the hospital stay of these eight babies. Doesn't the doctor at least have a MORAL or ETHICAL, if not legal, obligation to be sure that the prospective mother has health insurance and can afford the birth and/or hospital stay of these babies?!? And, WTF would you implant 6 embryos into an UNEMPLOYEED, single mother of six who lives in a 3 bedroom/1 bathroom house any f**king way?!? Um, hello?!? And the comparisons to Angelina? As if. Angelina has Brad, more money than G*d, multiple mansions and nannies galore. And FYI-we are not paying for Angie's kids. They can have as many as they want as far as I am concerned, because unlike the Picasso version of Angelina (A.K.A. OctoMom), they can afford them!! Happy Day After Valentine's Day...By That I Mean I Forgot To Blog Yesterday!

Hi, all! I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day! Mine was really great until about 3/4 the through dinner, when the fact that I had too many drinks hit me. So not cool. Let me start at the beginning. We were out running errands, etc. during the day and my neck was really bothering me when we got home. So, I decided to take a muscle relaxant and lay down for a few hours. I felt good when I woke up, took a shower, got ready....We went to The Melting Pot with Christie and Mike. I had a few drinks...who knew that their drinks were so strong, anyway?!? I was fine through the cheese (yum!) and salad. Then, during the main course, I got kinda skeeved out because we were all dipping in the same pot, so I didn't really eat much of much. But I kept drinking...LOL! All of a sudden, I was super tired, I could barely keep my head up and I felt like I was losing my motor functions...as in I kept dropping s**t, including chocolate down the front of my dress and on my boobs...Lovely. I looked at Ryan and said "I'm totally drunk". During the chocolate course (double yum!), I broke out into a cold sweat and I felt as though I was going to either puke or pass out. So, Ryan took me outside for some fresh air, and I started to feel a little better. The moral of the story is...maybe chasing a muscle relaxant with several tequila based drinks is not a good idea. Duh! For a smart girl, sometimes I do very stupid things, huh? So, I'm sort of nursing a hangover today. Yuck. My honey got me candy and other assorted prezzies, which was very thoughtful. Except that he got me strawberry, and I hate strawberry (Ryan: "Oh, you like cherry? I thought it was strawberry" Me: "Um, no...I hate strawberry and I've told you that a bunch of times already.") and no flowers. Uh-huh. No flowers, which was the ONLY thing that I really wanted. Oh, well...he tried.
J Lo and her gross husband Skeletor pimped out, I mean showed off their twins at his concert. Awww...they really are cuties!

Ryan and I were just saying that it's been a week and no statement from Ike Turner, I mean Chris Brown OR Rihanna. And, then look what I just found on perezhilton.com: After more than a week of silence, alleged girlfriend beater Chris Brown just issued a statement about the incident this past weekend!
He says:
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."
I smell a trip to rehab coming very soon...And, um, couldn't he have mentioned Rihanna by name?!?

So...are you all getting ready for Valentine's Day? I'm excited! I haven't been in a relationship on Valentine's Day in a very long time, and I am really looking forward to this one. The pressure is on, Ryan! We are going to The Melting Pot for dinner on Saturday with our friends Christie and Mike, so it should be fun. And yummy! Ryan had a dinner date last night. With my Mommy! How cute is that? She took him out for a belated birthday dinner. Awwww! I am sitting here listening to Tai Tai snore his a** off...that must be some deep sleep that he is in! And, poor little Baby Tao is curled up in a ball with the e-collar around his head. So sad. He just looks so miserable.

Oh, and speaking of my spiteful little Tao, let me tell you what the little brat did last night. Ryan and I (at Ryan's insistance) got them each a bed. We put Tai Tai's bed on the floor next to my side of our bed and Tao's on Ryan's side. And, they've actually taken to the beds really well...surprisingly well! So, last night Tao walked over to Tai Tai's bed and proceeded to pee a river...as in I've never seen so much pee come out of such a little dog, he must've been saving it up for this occasion. Poor Tai Tai ran up to his bed, looked at Tao, then looked at me as if to say "WTF? That dude just peed on my bed!" And Tao gave him a very smug, self-satisfied look as if to say "Yeah, that's right. I peed on your bed, and Mom is not even going to yell at me because I'm injured. HaHa." Then he goes to his own bed, plops himself down and shoots Tai Tai another dirty look like "My bed is so comfy, you have no bed...Ha Ha!" I just shook my head and threw Tai Tai's bed into the washing machine. Needless to say, Tai Tai slept in bed with me last night. (Sorry, Ryan...it had to be done!)Ok, I have to get up and get ready now....I'll try to write more later.Toodles!
