From TMZ.com: Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.
She was 32.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her time of death was listed as 10:04 AM.
Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word." Murphy was reportedly fired from last film, "The Caller," after reports she was problematic on set.
UPDATE 3:11 PM ET -- Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy's mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We're told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- several miles away -- and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
We're told the LA County Coroner's is picking up Murphy's body from Cedars later today and will launch a death investigation.
Ok. Before I start, let me say that I really liked her. I love, love, love "Clueless" and "Uptown Girls". And I thought she was adorable. But, I also think that she had either an eating disorder or a drug problem. Let's face it. Healthy 32 year olds don't just drop dead from cardiac arrest. And, Lindsay Lohan...I hope you are paying attention, because it could've been you.

Old Friends Are The Best Friends...
Happy Birthday to my Bestie....Looking great for 29. Again. LOL!
Happy birthday, Madonna! Loves her!
Anyway, since I am good friends with W & his brother M, I went. I met my girl Susan at a Starbucks before the service, and I really had to pee, so I grabbed the first spot I saw...well, ok, not the FIRST spot, because the first spot was parallel parking, and I can't parallel park, but you get the idea. So I am sitting with her, drinking coffee and for some reason, I reached up and was playing with the neckline of my dress. Thank G*d I did, because I felt the label...my dress was on BACKWARDS! I had already been to the hairdresser and driven for two hours to get to Delray. With my dress on backwards.
As Alissa would say..."Are you kidding me?" I was so mortified that I didn't even say anything to Susan...I just took my happy self to the restroom and changed my dress. Then, as we walk towards my car, Susan turns to me with a perplexed look and says "You're handicapped?" I'm like "No...why?" She points to my car, which is clearly parked in a handicapped spot. I'm like WTF, did they put that sign up while I was in the Starbucks, because it was so not there when I parked. Then I checked for a ticket...Huge sigh of relief...NO TICKET! Hooray for me. Then we make our way to the church, where we have to park in dirt. In case you were wondering...stiletto heels and dirt don't mix well. At all. I almost ate sh*t walking across the parking lot. Yikes! The church was packed. With NO air circulation. It made me sweat just looking at the men in their suits & ties.
Poor guys. It was a very nice service. VERY long, but very nice. We said hello to W as we left the church {{Big hugs}}...
Susan & I did not go to the cemetary, we elected to go grab some alcoholic beverages instead...we figured that's for family. So, W asked us to meet him back at the house after the burial, which we did. I'm going to make the understatement of the universe right now and say that we got a lukewarm reception from the girls that were there. As in, if looks could kill, you'd be attending my funeral right now. Uncomfortable, Party of two...your table is ready. Whatevs.
Needless to say, we didn't stay for very long. But, it was great to see W...he looks the same. And M...he is my boy...I

So Sad...
Actress Natasha Richardson died today :(
From people.com: Natasha Richardson has died after suffering head injuries from a fall on a Canadian ski slope Monday. She was 45. Her family released the following statement: "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."
Really sad. Her sons are 12 and 13. Poor things.
And...speaking of sad, Ryan and I are O-V-E-R for good. I don't want to rip him on here. Well, ok...I kinda do, but I won't. Suffice it to say that it was NOT a good break up. As in I had to change my phone numbers, so hit me up if you need my new ones.

Bad Things Come In 3s?
How's everyone doing? I'm fine...in a busy, overloaded, sleep deprived sort of a way...LOL! I'm giving a presentation on Saturday, and I finished writing my speech, so maybe now I can sleep...we'll see. I still have to do the power point portion of it, but I'm almost there. Anyhoo...not too much unusual going on here. Oh, Lissy is the
this week...her birthday is on Friday! Jacob is whisking her away for a few days (Chill...it's not a surprise!) and I am babysitting. I'm sure I'll have some great stories for you after 2 1/2 days alone with my nephews. Stay tuned! That's all I've got personally, so on to the celebs...
From tmz.com: Yung Berg was busted early yesterday morning in New York City after police investigated a complaint by a limo driver.Sources say a limo driver reported a dispute with five passengers, and when police investigated the complaint, they busted Berg and his buddies on a pile of charges.Cops say Berg, real name Christian Ward, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana and menacing.Liar, liar...Pants on fire!! John Edwards is a douchebag. Why do these f***ers always lie when they KNOW that they are busted? Cheat on your wife, that's her problem. Lie to our country...that's OUR problem. DUM-DUM!
From usmagazine.com: Former Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards has admitted to a long-rumored extramarital affair with filmmaker Rielle Hunter, 44, but denies that he is the father of her baby daughter.
Edwards, 55, made the admission during an interview with ABC's Nightline that aired Friday night. Watch the video above.
The former North Carolina senator – who has been married to wife Elizabeth since 1977 – says he was not in love with Hunter.
Edwards also issued a statement (below) about the affair on Friday afternoon.
Edwards says in the interview that he has not taken a paternity test to prove he is not the father of Hunter's daughter because he claims the affair ended before she was conceived.
A former campaign aide, Andrew Young, has said he was the father of the child.
Edwards has three children with Elizabeth, who has an incurable form of cancer.
Edwards tells ABC News that the affair began in 2006, when Elizabeth's cancer was in remission and after Hunter was hired to produce films for his presidential campaign. They had met at a NYC bar.
The National Enquirer first reported the affair last fall. Edwards steadfastly denied the accusation at the time.
The Enquirer spotted Edwards visiting Hunter and the baby at the Beverly Hills Hilton last month.
Edwards confirmed the meeting to Nightline and said his wife did not know about it.
He's a hottie, huh? All you Phelps Phans will be happy to know that The U.S. swimmer smashed his own world record, comfortably winning the 400 metres individual medley gold medal in four minutes 03.84 seconds. This is the first of a potential record-breaking eight gold medals at the Olympics for Phelps. It was Phelps's seventh career Olympic gold medal and ninth overall as he chases down Mark Spitz's 36-year-old record of seven golds at one Games.
From people.com: Soul music pioneer Isaac Hayes – whose 1971 "Theme from Shaft" won the Oscar and Grammys & who was a voice on "South Park"– died Sunday in Memphis, where he lived. He was 65. A releative discovered an unresponsive Hayes near an exercise machine in their home at midday, and Hayes was pronounced dead at 2:10 p.m. when he arrived at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office tells PEOPLE.Not to make light of the situation, but you see?!? Proof that exercise can indeed kill you! I knew it.
Bernie Mack passed away from complications of pneumonia on Saturday. He was only 50 years old. How come people still die from pneumonia anyway? So sad! They say bad things come in 3s-who's next? Or can we consider Morgan Freeman's accident the 3rd thing? It's weird...3 famous black men, right?
Am I the only one who thinks she looks FREAKISHLY like Elvis?!? She's 40 & pregnant with twins. Worst Headline Ever...

(From AOL news) DAVIE, Florida (Feb. 10) - "Bride Dies During Couple's First Dance"
Kim Sjostrom wanted a real-life version of the film "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," which played in the background as friends fixed her hair and makeup before her own marriage ceremony.
But less than an hour after she and Teddy Efkarpides were wed, Sjostrom crumpled in her husband's arms during a Greek song that means "Love Me."
At 36, Sjostrom was dead from heart disease.
The wedding had become a project at Davie Elementary School, where Sjostrom taught first grade. Fellow teachers provided the wedding gown, the flowers and decorations. One of them, an ordained minister, performed the ceremony.
"It was perfect for her," said Dominic Church, the minister friend.
Sjostrom carried blue and white flowers during the ceremony - the colors of the Greek flag - as she exchanged vows with Efkarpides, a 43-year-old carpenter and Navy veteran. They had met three years to the day before the Jan. 19 wedding.
During the couple's first dance, Sjostrom complained of being lightheaded. Efkarpides thought his wife, a diabetic, needed sugar, but she collapsed.
Wedding guests, paramedics and doctors at a nearby hospital were unable to revive her.
She had a previous cardiac episode in her 20s and was a poster child - literally - for juvenile diabetes, relatives and friends said. Efkarpides recalled seeing the poster featuring her on New York subways.
He consoles himself by reading a list of "101 Reasons Why I Love You" that Sjostrom gave him their first Christmas together. "Number 1. You make me smile."
No. 98 is especially difficult: "You're the one I want to grow old with."
Sad, sad, sad.

She's Baaaack!

Shitney was released today. So much for the 14 day hold. Here's a quick synopsis for you: Shitney was released from the psych ward (which, btw, is the new rehab), Shitney got in a car to drive home, Shitney kicked her newly hired bodyguard out of her car, Shitney was followed by a bunch of stalkerazzi, Shitney checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel, Adnan the creep showed up and off they went to Shitney's lawyer. Uh-oh. Looks like she's going to try to get back control of her finances. She is a disaster! The only good thing in this is that there is a restraining order against Osama Lufti who has admitted to drugging her. Um, hello?!? Isn't that, oh I don't know...ILLEGAL??? If you want some insight on why Shitney is so f**ked up, pick up the new Rolling Stone magazine. Some juicy excerpts:
• As a teen, the singer’s mother, Lynne, allowed her to get breast implants.
• The singer never bonded with her father Jamie, mostly because of his heavy drinking.
• When Britney was just beginning her career in the 1990s, she was bribed to work around the clock.
• Throughout her career, she lobbied “ to appear sluttier,” the magazine claims, to appear more mature.
• She reportedly began sleeping with Wade Robson around the time of the 2001 VMAs. “In February 2002, Timberlake discovered a ... note from Robson in Britney’s room.
Nothing very earth-shattering.
Heath Ledger's death was ruled an "accidental overdose" of PRESCRIPTION MEDS. There but for the grace of G-d...So scary. So glad that I am no longer on all the narcotics for my neck injury! It's so sad because it could have been prevented. The only good thing to come out of it is that the DEA is investigating, so hopefully the Drs will be held accountable.
Kirsten Dunst is reportedly in rehab. Yawn.
J-Ho's Dad confirmed that she's having twins. Double yawn.
In sports news, the Phoenix Suns acquired Shaquille O'Neal in a stunning, blockbuster deal that sent four-time All-Star Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks to the Miami Heat. The trade required a significant financial commitment from budget-conscious owner Robert Sarver because O'Neal is scheduled to make $20 million this season and $20 million more each of the next two.
"TINLEY PARK, Ill. (AP) - Five people were shot Saturday at a women's clothing store south of Chicago, authorities said." Did you guys hear about this? They are not really giving it a lot of coverage. It was a Lane Bryant store. I'm not saying anything else.
I'm sure you are all aware of the tornadoes that have killed 55 people in the south. Terrible.
And now for a story from (where else?) Florida: "MIAMI (Feb. 6) - The state is trying to dissolve a community of sex offenders living under a bridge that includes a gym, kitchen, living room and two dogs. The men have lived under the Julia Tuttle Causeway for a year. They say limited money and strict local ordinances make it nearly impossible for them to live anywhere else. But state officials are telling them to leave." The article goes on to say that authorities are "urging" the men to leave. Urging?!? Shouldn't they be a bit more proactive? Like maybe "forcing" them? Unbelievable!
On a personal note, today was a better day. The letter that I got from the IRS was telling me that they owe me some money from 2005. They realized this because they questioned something on my return..,how do like them apples? OMG. I sent out evites for my friend Christie's birthday dinner and my pleasure party, and it is turning into a clusterf**k for real. I have to change the dates on both. For those of you affected, stay tuned. I'll be sending out emails soon. Lissy's Mommy & Daddy are here from New York. I can't wait to see them tomorrow :) I picked up the boys yesterday at school. Ok, here's a big reveal. A secret that only my nearest and dearest know about me. I have a serious choking phobia. What?!? You thought that I was going to tell you something juicy? As if! Anyhoo, back to the choking phobia...specifically children and/or animals choking on my watch. Seriously. I practically have a panic attack when I have to feed the kids alone. If I ever have kids, they won't be eating solid foods until they are 16. LOL. So, I go to pick up the boys. The woman behind the desk was new, I think...I've never seen her before. She takes my driver's license and scrutinizes it, looking back and forth between the license and the passes for the kids, which clearly have my name on them. Do I look suspicious? So I get Joshie, and then Noah. We walk through the lobby, and they want lollipops. Oh, hell no. My worst nightmare. Eating in the car. So, I say "No, guys. Not before dinner." And pull Joshie's hand out of the lollipop container, triggering a meltdown. Full on crying...crocidile tears and all. And everyone is looking at me like "WTF did you do to Joshie, you B***h?!?" So, Noah tells anyone who will listen "Joshie is sad because he wants a lollipop but Mickey said NO (Emphasizing the NO). Great. They totally hate me at the school now. So, I scoop Joshie up and...Lo and behold. All's right in his world again. So he nuzzles into my shoulder and off we go. The rest of the night was uneventful. After our alien conversation, I bought ET for Noah. Jacob seems to think that it's too scary for Noah. I disagree. If you people would ever leave comments, I could find out your opinions on the matter. Sorry, subtlety is not one of my many talents. If you want sarcasm, a snarky comment or the brutal truth, I'm your girl-I rock at those! Oh, the cutest thing ever that Noah said to me. "Mickey, I'm going to make you a picture that you can put on your fridge. It's going to be a heart because you are my heart girl." I guess that's some variation of "Sweetheart", but whatever. Totally melted my heart. He's too much. Ok. I am going to try to get some sleep tonight, unlike the last few nights.
Later....

"What Rhymes With Door?"
Oh. I'm taking a survey. Have you ever heard of the whole myth about green M&Ms? That they make you horny? I am asking because on Friday, I stopped at the drug store to pick up some Sudafed (Oh, yeah...I'm sick now, too. Sinus infection. Good times.) and I took a little stroll down the candy aisle. And there, right before my eyes, was a bag of only the green M&Ms. I laughed and had to buy them, because when I was in high school, I used to buy bags of M&Ms and literally pick out all the green ones to make a jar for my then boyfriend Nick. Sorry, Mom...I'm sure you totally thought I was a virgin and all.

An Update In The Sean Taylor Case
Richard Sharpstein confirmed Friday that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Miami-Dade police detained two teenagers and a third person, Local 10's Rad Berky reported.
The Miami Herald reported that investigators believe the three learned of Taylor's house through someone who unwittingly set up the burglary by bragging about his wealth. The newspaper reported their ages as being 17, 19 and 26.
Investigators removed a large amount of physical evidence from Taylor's Palmetto Bay home after he was shot early Monday morning. Berky has learned that evidence can place the two or three people in the house.
Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Lt. Nancy Perez would only confirm that homicide detectives are in Fort Myers, but she would not say why.
Taylor's mother on Thursday said she has her own ideas about the death of her son but prefers to keep them to herself and let the police investigation play out.
"It's very hard to say," said Donna Junor. "But I have some thoughts in my mind."
Many of Taylor's family members gathered at the small house in Homestead where he spent much of his time growing up. Junor seemed to show her frustration with the attention focused on Taylor's past brushes with the law when asked about statements that having a young daughter had changed him.
"He was not exactly a bad person, so I don't see where he was turning his life around because of a baby," she said.
Taylor died early Tuesday morning, one day after he was shot in his home during a random burglary, Miami-Dade Police Department Director Robert Parker said.
"There is some information that is known by members of the public and we believe that information hasn't reached law enforcement," said Parker.
Funeral services will be held at the Pharmed Arena at Florida International University on Monday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. The services are open to the public, but seating is limited.
At a news conference Wednesday, Parker said there are no suspects because there were no witnesses who could give police a description of the person or people responsible for the killing, but he urged anyone with information to call police or Crime Stoppers.
Parker also said that there were no indications that Taylor was targeted or knew his assailant.
"There is nothing thus far in the investigation that indicates that there was an involvement on the victim's part," said Parker.
Local 10's Rad Berky reported that investigators are focusing their attention on the friends, or more likely, friends of friends of Taylor, who may have visited the NFL star's home.
Parker said evidence indicates that one or more intruders barged into Taylor's home. Parker called it "a random event" and said police are looking at the home as a "bona fide" crime scene.
But on Tuesday, Richard Sharpstein, an attorney speaking on behalf of Taylor's family, said the shooting was not random.
"There are too many coincidences," said Sharpstein. "It's clear this house was targeted."
*Recreating Events*
Sharpstein said Taylor, his girlfriend and Taylor's 18-month-old daughter were in the bedroom of Taylor's home when Taylor heard noises in the living room.
Sharpstein said Taylor went to investigate and was carrying a machete that he keeps in the bedroom. The intruder kicked in the door and then shot twice, hitting Taylor once in the leg, the attorney said. Taylor lost a significant amount of blood because the bullet hit his femoral artery, Sharpstein said.
Miami-Dade police went to Taylor's home at 18050 Old Cutler Road in Palmetto Bay after receiving a call from a woman around 1:30 a.m. Investigators later identified the woman as Taylor's girlfriend, Jackie Garcia. Garcia is the niece of actor Andy Garcia and the mother of Taylor's daughter, also named Jackie.
Monday's break-in was at least the second for Taylor in less than two weeks. Taylor's home was ransacked and items were stolen on Nov. 17, Sharpstein said.
Taylor had closed the storm shutters on his home after the earlier break-in. During that entry, someone made his or her way through a front window, according to a police report. The house was ransacked and there was damage to an air conditioning duct in the bathroom, where someone may have believed there was something hidden, Berky reported. A kitchen knife was left on the bed, according to the police report, but it wasn't until after Taylor was killed that police began to analyze evidence collected from the first break-in, Berky reported.
"We have no reason to think that this was anything but a burglary or a robbery involving an intruder," said Parker.
He also said police are looking for more than one person and hoped an arrest would be made "shortly, in short order."
Meanwhile, Junor said she was thankful of Taylor and Garcia for her "beautiful granddaughter, and I want to enjoy her for the time."
"Whoever took him doesn't understand what they took from us," said Taylor's cousin, Nicole Matthews.
Taylor's Background, Playing Career
Taylor played football at the University of Miami, where he was a member of the 2001 national championship team as a freshman. In his final season with the Hurricanes in 2003, Taylor was a consensus first-team All-American and named Big East Conference defensive player of the year. He was also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the nation's best defensive back.
He left school early and became the first UM player selected in the 2004 NFL draft when the Redskins picked him fifth overall.
Last June, Taylor agreed to a plea bargain in court on charges that he brandished a weapon at people he suspected had stolen some all-terrain vehicles from his South Florida home. Taylor agreed to 18 months of probation.
Taylor was in his fourth season with the Redskins. He led the team with five interceptions but missed the last two games with a knee injury. The 212-pound safety played in his first Pro Bowl in 2006.
