Hmmm...let's see.
Where shall I begin?
On the plus side, my day did not begin with a "Fuck you".
On the minus side, my day DID begin with being woken up at 6 a.m. and driving an aide to her job (Totally across town, btw!)
So not cool.
But that was only the beginning.
Did I mention that my home phone has been working on and off since Saturday morning? Don't worry, because it will fixed by tonight at 7 p.m. (Oh, I LOVE Embarq! They are super speedy...um, no, not so much!) So, BFF forgets every time she calls me & gets very annoying static in her ear. Our conversations go like this:
Me "Hello"
BFF "Shit"
Me "Hello?"
BFF "Fuckin static...DON'T YOU HEAR THAT?!?"
Me "Umm, nope...don't hear anything"
BFF (to husband) "OMG so annoying, how can she not hear that???"
BFF (to me) CLICK
Me (to myself and the dogs I guess) "Nice"
And then, my cell wouldn't work in my apartment. So, picture me out on the catwalk in my PJs screaming into my cell...PRETTY! Good thing I wasn't wearing a tank & boyshorts like I usually do to bed.
But...I digress!
So, back to today. Forgot to bring lunch with me to work today. don't worry...I'm just trying to save money, not get in touch with my domestic godess...as if!
So, I'm like "I need a break anyway. I'll go to Publix."
Well, the grocery store was hopping today! I could barely find a parking space. So, after perusing ALL the aisles, I go up to the register with an armfull of groceries. You know...some melon, some veggies, some drinks, dried fruit, yada yada. (Please note the refridgerated items) I wait patiently for my turn. The cashier starts scanning my items, then looks at me and says "Hi. How are you today?"
I look up from my fumbling in my purse and say "Uhhh, not so good...I don't have my wallet!" And I hauled ass right outta there!
Ummm...can you say MORTIFYING?!?
In case you are wondering "Where was your wallet, Niki?" Oh, don't worry...it was sitting on my desk because I had been trying (unsucessfully...OF COURSE) to transfer a credit card balance onto a new card. FYI...AM EX Blue...4.99% for the life of the transfer...Not too shabby!
Oh, yeah...I'm still hungry.
Did I mention that I want to write a book? I think I'll call it "THE MORE MEN I MEET, THE MORE I LOVE MY DOG...AND LIFETIME"

Nothing new to report on the guy front. But with me, no news is good news!
I'm going to go take a nice, long bubble bath and try to forget that today ever happened! Wish me luck. I need it!!!!
