The Wayward Blogger Returns...

Holy crap...it's been a long tome since I've posted a blog! Did you miss me?? I wish I could tell you that my absence was due to world traveling or something equally as exciting, but nope, that's not the case. I blame Twitter for my neglect of my beloved blog. After all, Twitter is a "micro blogging site". And you know me...I'm all about things that require a short attention span...oh, look! Is that a puppy?? I kid, I kid.
Anyhoo...I have been a little busy. Oh, I do have exciting news! I am buying my first home! If my closing ever actually happens, that is. My initial closing date was supposed to be February 18th. HaHa. It is now tentatively scheduled for March 23rd. We'll see. I can't wait because I am practically living out of boxes. Not fun. Sooo....my new place is a carriage home. It's all on one level upstairs, but my front door and attached garage are downstairs. It has 3 bedrooms, a den and 2 1/2 baths. And the best part? Wood floors throughout! No carpet...cue the Happy Dance! And now...I wait. It's kind of scary, exciting, bittersweet and a million other emotions that I can't even put into words.
On a sad note, my Grandma had to put her beloved dog Simba to sleep last Friday. She is heart broken, as you can imagine. He was 15. Poor little guy. So, to all of you that pray, please keep Grandma Sylvia in your prayers."Dogs' lives are too short. Their only fault, really." ~Agnes Sligh Turnbull
Let's see...what else. Oh, I know. Let's talk Hollyweird. Corey Haim died. WTF? He was only 38. It's sad, but not shocking. He always seemed kind of tortured. Haylie Duff and Carrie Underwood are engaged. Not to each other. Now that would be newsworthy! Marie Osmond's 18 year old son committed suicide. Have you guys seen what Heidi Montag (who will now and forever more be known as "Franken-Heidi") did to herself? She looks 10 years older than she is. Yikes. She frightens me. We haven't even discussed TIGER, or should I say CHEETAH, WOODS yet! OMG! How crazy is that whole story?!? And the craziest part to me is that his wife is BEAUTIFUL and he was cheating on her with total trashbags. Ewww! Epic fail, Tiger! Speaking of trashbags, did y'all watch "Jersey Shore"?? Loves it! Must see TV...right up there with "Real Housewives". Speaking of reality TV....did you guys think the Bachelor was crazy when he picked Vienna?? I did. I think I threw up in my mouth when it aired. Yuck! Ok...well that's all I've got for right now.

R.I.P. Brittany Murphy

From TMZ.com: Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.
She was 32.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her time of death was listed as 10:04 AM.
Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word." Murphy was reportedly fired from last film, "The Caller," after reports she was problematic on set.
UPDATE 3:11 PM ET -- Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy's mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We're told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- several miles away -- and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
We're told the LA County Coroner's is picking up Murphy's body from Cedars later today and will launch a death investigation.

Ok. Before I start, let me say that I really liked her. I love, love, love "Clueless" and "Uptown Girls". And I thought she was adorable. But, I also think that she had either an eating disorder or a drug problem. Let's face it. Healthy 32 year olds don't just drop dead from cardiac arrest. And, Lindsay Lohan...I hope you are paying attention, because it could've been you.

Old Friends Are The Best Friends...

Hey, All! Hope everyone is doing well. It was Lissy's birthday yesterday.

Happy Birthday to my Bestie....Looking great for 29. Again. LOL!My girl Toni Marie's birthday was also yesterday...Happy birthday, Girlie!Today is The Material Girl's birthday...

Happy birthday, Madonna! Loves her!Next up, on a sad note...I attended a funeral yesterday. My ex-boyfriend W's father passed away. So sad...I remember him as such a nice man.

Anyway, since I am good friends with W & his brother M, I went. I met my girl Susan at a Starbucks before the service, and I really had to pee, so I grabbed the first spot I saw...well, ok, not the FIRST spot, because the first spot was parallel parking, and I can't parallel park, but you get the idea. So I am sitting with her, drinking coffee and for some reason, I reached up and was playing with the neckline of my dress. Thank G*d I did, because I felt the label...my dress was on BACKWARDS! I had already been to the hairdresser and driven for two hours to get to Delray. With my dress on backwards.

As Alissa would say..."Are you kidding me?" I was so mortified that I didn't even say anything to Susan...I just took my happy self to the restroom and changed my dress. Then, as we walk towards my car, Susan turns to me with a perplexed look and says "You're handicapped?" I'm like "No...why?" She points to my car, which is clearly parked in a handicapped spot. I'm like WTF, did they put that sign up while I was in the Starbucks, because it was so not there when I parked. Then I checked for a ticket...Huge sigh of relief...NO TICKET! Hooray for me. Then we make our way to the church, where we have to park in dirt. In case you were wondering...stiletto heels and dirt don't mix well. At all. I almost ate sh*t walking across the parking lot. Yikes! The church was packed. With NO air circulation. It made me sweat just looking at the men in their suits & ties.

Poor guys. It was a very nice service. VERY long, but very nice. We said hello to W as we left the church {{Big hugs}}...Susan: "I don't remember him being so good looking."Me: "I do."Susan: "He's hot."Me: "Uh-huh."The cutest thing was when his little brother saw me and made a beeline for me and gave me a big hug. I can't even believe that A.) he remembered me & 2.) he recognized me. Even though W said "You look the same. Except your lips are bigger."Me: "You're very kind to say that, but unfortunately, everything is bigger."W: "I'm not exactly slim anymore myself."(He always was smooth...sigh.)

Susan & I did not go to the cemetary, we elected to go grab some alcoholic beverages instead...we figured that's for family. So, W asked us to meet him back at the house after the burial, which we did. I'm going to make the understatement of the universe right now and say that we got a lukewarm reception from the girls that were there. As in, if looks could kill, you'd be attending my funeral right now. Uncomfortable, Party of two...your table is ready. Whatevs.

Needless to say, we didn't stay for very long. But, it was great to see W...he looks the same. And M...he is my boy...I that kid. Always have, always will. Then I had to drive home while it was raining sideways. Good times, my friends, good times. But I made it home in one piece. Have a great week, Peeps!

Yoga, Tennis And Golf...Oh, My!

Ok...I know, I know...I've been very lax in the blog updating department. Sorry, sorry! And...there is so much to talk about! Let me give you my disclaimer for why I have been neglecting my blog. I have decided to take up some new activities, and by some I mean...TOO MANY! As in...

So...I've been busy. For reals. And sore. And tired. Ugh! A quick rundown of my activities: I do yoga with Lissy...like it, even though I pulled a muscle in my abs last week.
Tennis with Lissy, too. Loves it! Totally cute clothes...of course I love it! Golf is with Jacob. Golf is super frustrating and I hit the ball...oh, about 40% of the time. I told the pro that if the object of the game was moving grass around I'd be a Superstar! I go to the Y to meet my trainer twice a week...he's a GREAT trainer, and I am NOT an easy client. We box sometimes and I am really feeling that. Who me? Angry? Noooo....LOL!

You may not have heard (if you live under a rock), but Michael Jackson died.


Say what you want about his freakish ways, but the man was a musical genius! I have been playing the AOL Radio All Michael Jackson station (Sorry, Alissa!) and he had so many great songs. Did you guys watch the Memorial Service? I was ok until his daughter spoke. Then it was "Cue the waterworks". So sad.Perhaps you can find an article or two on him and his death in the mags this week? Ok. Now, let's talk about Steve McNair's death.
Poor Steve. He's getting NO LOVE from the media because of all of the MJ hype. But the circumstances of his death are totally bizarre-o! Everyone is trying to figure out what killed MJ. "Good morning. It was drugs. Case closed." But I am trying to figure out the Steve McNair drams. According to reports, he was killed in a murder-suicide by his 20 year old side bitch. Yikes! She shot him 4 (count them...1, 2, 3, 4) times while he slept on the couch. Was that necessary??

So I am watching the yumminess that is Lebron James, um I mean Game 4 of the Eastern Finals. The Cavs came to win tonight...it's about time. For a team that has swept every series leading up to this one, I'm not that impressed. But, what the hell? More chances to see King James! I'm with it. For all of you that haven't watched the NBA since back in the day (It was a Wednesday...and MJ was playing)...Newsflash! The NBA is exciting again! And...23 is back. In the form of Lebron. He's the bomb like tick, tick....Ok, let me stop drooling and move onto current events. By that I mean gossip...LOL.
On a sad note, Mike Tyson's 4 year old daughter died today as a result of "accidentally hanging herself on a treadmill". Um, why was a 4 year old left un-attended near a treadmill? I'm just saying...
On a hypocritical note, devout Catholic Mel Gibson's girlfriend is pregnant. Is the ink even dry on that mofo's divorce papers?? Fornicators, Party of Two...your table is ready. In hell. Guess this falls under "Do as I say, not as I do", huh?
On a f**ked up note, have you seen all the drams surrounding Jon & Kate Plus Eight?!? Who has time to have extra marital affairs with eight kids?? Hey, guys...maybe more parenting, less f**king. Kthanxbye.

Top 10 Reasons That Breaking Up Sucks...

10. You are suddenly "me" instead of "we"...totally need to shift gears.

9. You have to answer the "Where is so-and-so?" question. Really?? Must I explain for the gazillionith time?

8. You have to take care of your own pets and take out the trash again...That sucks.

7. You can't call him to ask him some obscure question when you totally know he would know the answer.

6. You can't talk to his Mom anymore, no matter how much you loved her. (And you are stuck wondering what the hell he told her about you anyway)

5. You don't get to see his dog anymore (I miss Tyson) or send the doggie prezzies anymore.

4. You have to worry about him spilling all your secrets...that really blows.

3. You get really lonely at night...and you shouldn't really call your girlfriends at 3 a.m. on a Tuesday, even though they tell you too...they don't REALLY mean it.

And the Number 1 Reason That Breaking Up Sucks is...(DRUMROLL, Puh-lease)...You have to hear every SINGLE thing that everyone you are close to disliked about him but were too afraid to tell you while you were with him. (FYI...from me & Lissy...if you don't like your bestie's boyfriend, you need to tell her. If she gets mad at you then your friendship wasn't that strong anyway.)

Good morning, Lovies! Hope everyone is doing well on this Thursday morning...you should be...I mean, HELLO! It's almost Friday!! I am sitting here with Noah (my nephew). We are in bed...he's playing baseball on his DS and obvs, I am on the computer. I'm up early, so I figured I'd take this opportunity to blog. I am with Noah because I'm taking him to school today because Little Joshie is having tubes put in his ears and his adnoids removed today...so positive thoughts to him today, please, everyone! Anyways, we had a slumber party last night...Fun! After the kiddies went to bed, we watched Role Models, and it was soooooo funny. Loved it! I posted some new pics in the post below this one...my hair is a little different now and I have pink AND purple in it.
Uh-huh...that and an eternal 12 year old...with lots of disposable income. What a dangerous combination! You may have noticed that I took down my Top Ten list. Ryan sent me an email explaining that a "friend" had let him know about it and he was upset. So, I took it down because I feel really sad that things between us had to get so ugly (and public)...so I'm trying not to fuel that fire. How can love turn to hate so fast? I guess it's like they say...there's a thin line between love and hate, huh?? And honestly, even though I have a lot of not so nice things to say now, obvs it wasn't all bad...there were lots of good times as well. So, I am going to try to honor our relationship and remember the way that we used to feel about each other, and try not to be a b***h. Damn, that's going to be hard...not because of him, just because it's in my nature.
You know me...I just say what I think.
