Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I had a very nice day, despite the fact that I am single. I got flowers from my nephews at the office today (sent by Jacob, not Lissy, which made it extra special!), I got a card from my doggies (Lissy helped them out with that), I got a bag full of goodies from Lissy...not too shabby! I was supposed to babysit the boys, but Jacob got sick, so they stayed home. I still hung out with them, though. I made grilled cheese sandwiches and cut them into shapes with cookie cutters...hearts, X's & O's...and they (wait for it) hated them. Wouldn't even touch it. What kid doesn't like grilled cheese?!? And they were good, too...oh, well! I also bought them sparkling apple juice...Joshie liked that, he called it "soda". I also got cupcakes. Those were a hit. One out of three! When I went to the supermarket, the bag girl was a little slow (mentally) and she was like "Ohhhh, are you going to have a great Valentine's Day?" The contents of my cart: bread, cheese, sparkling apple juice and cupcakes. Yeah...an awesome evening awaits...LOL! After the debacle known as dinner, I set the boys up to paint at their easel. It was right before bathtime, so I painted on them. They liked it so much that they wanted to return the favor. So, being the superdy duper G*dmother/Aunt that I am, I let them paint all over my face. Of course they decided to use red and black paint so I looked like I was in a fight. And I totally drove home like that. It was dark. Thank G*d! Then, I gave them a bath and we watched about 1/2 of E.T. (or according to Noah, "T.E.") Lissy and I went out to drop off some gifts today. We went to a facility that is locked because they have a lot of patients with Alzheimers, and we totally could not figure out how to get in. Or out. And no one even helped us. There were about 5 people around, and they watched us struggle. So not cool. And after all of that, the person that we wanted to see was in a meeting. Ugh! OMG...speaking of work...I have to tell you this! I went to a patient's house yesterday (which I almost never do). Anyway this lady wants to move from here back up north, and somehow, I am the one who will be co-ordinating the whole thing. So, the house reeked of urine (ICK!) and the lady was so not nice. I tried my best to stay on task, wrap up and get the hell out of there. A nurse from a medicare agency came out to the house, and I saw my opportunity to escape and grabbed it. So, I told the lady that I'd work everything out and call her. And she says..."Good. Call me. And for G*d's sake...put some clothes on. You're going to get yourself raped walking around like that!!" I was wearing dress slacks (the baggy cuffed kind) and an INC tunic-y top. Real hookerish. I was rockin' a BIT of cleavage, but...REALLY?!? WTF? What a C U Next Tuesday! I was like ok...just going to ignore that and I am so out of here! My Mommy is coming to visit tomorrow...Yay!

Ok, let's talk news. WTF with the school shootings?!?

In Memphis, Tenn., a 17-year-old is accused of shooting and critically wounding a fellow student Monday during a high school gym class, and the 15-year-old victim of a shooting at an Oxnard, Calif., junior high school has been declared brain dead. DEKALB, Ill. (Feb. 14) - A former student dressed in black opened fire with a shotgun and two handguns from the stage of a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University on Thursday, killing five students and injuring 16 others before committing suicide, authorities said.

OMG...did you hear about this s**t...the murdered therapist in New York?

(from AOL news) The killer slashed Kathryn Faughey 15 times with a meat cleaver and a 9-inch knife at her office on Tuesday evening. A psychiatrist who worked in the building, Kent Shinbach, came to Faughey's rescue and was badly injured by the attacker, who stabbed him and pinned him to the wall before stealing $90 from his pocket.The suspect left behind several clues, dropping two bags near the basement door where he escaped. The bags were filled with adult diapers and women's clothing - including blouses and slippers - and eight knives, rope and duct tape that were not apparently used in the attack, police said.

O.J. strikes again! His 32 year old girlfrind is in a Miami hospital's ICU due to "a fall" (by that, I mean he gave her a beat down). Police say the injuries are consistent with an assault, not a fall. She may need brain surgery. Honestly, what did she expect? He is so behind Nicole's death.
