Tomorrow Is Moving Day...

So...tomorrow is the big day. Hooray! I went to the new place yesterday and I am so in love with it! The closets are gi-norm...walk ins with built ins in every room. So perfect for me, yes? I know! My house is all packed. I am rockin black ballet slippers with a madras plaid dress today (no black in the dress) and I am mortified because I am always such a matchy-matchy kind of girl. This is SERIOUS! Maybe the Wonder Pets can rescue me from my fashion faux pas! Oh, well. My Dad called me yesterday. He hasn't called me in like six months. He's busy. Teaching Sunday school. Yes, he is Jewish. Did I mention that he's getting married in December? And it's a Christmas themed wedding (Yes...still Jewish). At the zoo. Um...The Jerry Springer Show called...they want this episode back. Let's see. What else. Oh, did you guys get the email about the hands free cell phone law in Florida? Well, read on, folks. It's not true:
MIAMI -- A new e-mail was circulating Monday that sent some cell phone users and motorists into a panic.
Talking on the phone while driving is part of the South Florida lifestyle, but a circulating e-mail said it could be illegal without a special device.
The e-mail said, as of Aug. 1, cell phone use must be hands-free while driving or the driver will receive a $285 ticket.
"We have been getting a lot of calls about this," Pat Santangelo of the Florida Highway Patrol said.
NBC 6's Hank Tester talked with cell phone users on the street in South Florida.
"That's what they said in the news?" Cindy Maradonna said. "I was all ready to buy a Bluetooth."
It turned out the e-mail was only a rumor.
"I have seen the e-mails you have seen," Santangelo said. "They are not anything official from the state of Florida."
When the e-mail was traced to the beginning, the originator said she had been hacked. It had begun with an administrator at Miami Beach City Hall. She said she was not responsible at all and did not know how it happened.
"It's a good suggestion whether it's true or not," cell phone user Robert Bracun said. "I agree with that. It should be the law."
